![]() ![]() Perhaps the most important conclusion from recent research into the effects of the physical environment on preterm infants is that each infant should have a 'microenvironment', which can be individualized to needs that are specific to that child's gestational age and medical condition. Preterm baby requires surrounding exactly similar as in the womb to cope with the external environment. The results of statistics in Iran show that in 1980, 13% of newborn were preterm, while in 2006 more than 30% of births were preterm. Thirty eight percent of mortalities in the first 5 years of age belong to prenatal period and out of these, 28% is related to preterm birth. Since most infants hospitalized in NICU are born preterm, the problems of high risk infants are mainly related to prematurity. Some new-born's are at a higher risk of mortality and are called high risk infants, because the gestational age or their birth weight put them at a higher-than-average risk of disease and death. The preterm infant care is one of the most important, delegate and sensitive area in the Bio-medical field. As a result incubating, egg expected to hatch within stipulated period of time fail to do so thereby subjecting the farmer to extra expenditure and powered by a 220-volt AC source is designed involving a modular approach comprising of power supply control unit, temperature controller/sensor and heating sections. This is aimed at solving the problem of temperature fluctuation usually experience by poultry farmers which leads to production loss. Active and passive electronic components with special features are employed to control the incubating temperature automatically. In this study an automatic temperature regulating egg – incubator had been designed and fabricated using the principles of thermoelectricity. Two digital thermometer chips DS1631 acts as dry and wet electronic thermometers, DS1307 acts as the time keeping RTC for the entire system and the LCD provided shows live status of the incubator. The main four parameters in any bird hatching would be incubation temperature, relative humidity inside the incubator, ventilation and egg turning. The project that is being portrayed here implements an Automatic Egg Incubator using ATMEL AVR ATMEGA32. All these matters expose the importance of this project called Automatic Egg Incubator. A person fascinated by birds likes to raise ornamental birds but he couldn't find or get a broody bird as such, non vegetarians eat birds where in most cases they are imposed to take birds that are raised through artificial injections, in many cases even if we have an egg in hand we can't hatch the egg naturally since it is difficult to find the bird and get it hatched etc. AUTOMATIC EGG INCUBATOR There are prominent needs for egg incubators around the globe, because of many factors. ![]()
